Personal Statement
Hello to all college coaches searching for the right student-athlete(s) who can greatly impact their college teams and the school community as a whole. I am Sam Freeman; a multicultural (half Brazilian half American) scholar-athlete. I take pride in my academic endeavors in entrepreneurship just as much, or more-so, than my athletic endeavors for soccer. I am not only a strong right and left back candidate for your school, yet I would also impact the community of your school in a very positive and unique way; I am a creative being, and that's sincerely just part of my nature. If I have a good idea for something, I will certainly not allow my creativity to run away from me; I act on my ideas and creative thoughts, which is why I have established an official LLC and am currently in the beta testing process of my very own social media app: 24/7 app.
Not knowing whether my need to constantly be doing something is because of my ADHD or otherwise, but I am always being involved in my school or global community in some way outside of school and soccer. I enjoy music (chorus), business (business management and entrepreneurship group) and helping others (volunteering to tutor younger kids in Spanish). I speak four languages: English fluently, Portuguese fluently, Spanish fluently and good enough Chinese to be able to get around in China. I say this because my ability to do so allows me to connect with so many different people from distinct cultural backgrounds in a much better way; I can connect people on my club team in a more holistic way simply by being able to speak to those on the team in their own mother-tone. I am extremely extroverted and love being social & connecting with people, which also helps.
Nonetheless, soccer plays a very big role in my life, inspiring and motivating me to follow my passion and work for what I want; soccer is one of the biggest passions of mine and I will continue to develop this passion throughout my soccer experience at the highest level possible. I am a very outgoing, passionate, hard-working, diligent individual on and off the field, searching for the right environment to bridge me to becoming the successful creative entrepreneur I will day be.
