I am Gaoussou Ali Koureich and I am a senior at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School. My goal as an athlete is to learn and grow. As a little kid growing up I did not think that I had what it takes to become a good player. As I grew older I noticed that I was getting much taller and I’ve always had the advantage of being tall and fast. Moreover, I’ve played high school soccer. I was a varsity starter all my high school years. Furthermore, I’ve played club soccer at the national League level. What makes me different from other players is my obsession with soccer, it has taught me right from wrong and it can never make me sad. Although I want to play at the highest level of college soccer that will not always last long. My education is very important for me because not everyone in my family finished high school. Education is important to me and my family. Outside of soccer, I participate in extracurricular activities. I am a Muslim and a clean the mosque monthly and also give food out to the Muslims in the mosque. Furthermore, I want to take finance in college so I had internships with big companies. I’ve interned at UPS Capital, EVO Payments, and Kaiser Permanente. In school, I am usually known to be soft-spoken but on the field, it’s a different story. I’ve taken 3 AP classes so far in high school. The classes are AP US History, AP Environmental Science, and AP English. Moreover, I hope you welcome me into your soccer program.
