Freeman Saunders '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I'm Freeman Saunders, a Biliterate IB candidate, student-athlete, 5'10 forward / right back in my junior year at Riverwood International Charter School (7A) in Atlanta, GA. I am a good soccer recruit candidate because I am committed and devoted to playing this sport. I train relentlessly, I am coachable, have exceptional speed, and have a strong in-game-play instinct. My objective is to play collegiate soccer and contribute to my college team as a freshman.

My freshman year I played on the ECNL team with Concord Fire soccer club in Atlanta, Georgia and continue to play Varsity soccer with my high school at Riverwood International Charter School. This year I look forward to developing my versatility and my ability to rise in adversity.  My club team advanced to ECNL boys Nationals playoffs two consecutive years.  With the support of my teammates, I’ve scored 10 goals and 13 assists with my ECNL club team and, 12 goals and 9 assists since starting Riverwood International Charter high school (7A). In 2022, I was chosen to play U16 soccer in Duisburg, Germany with Global Development Soccer. Playing soccer internationally was a welcomed challenge. The overall experience was humbling and forced me to become more strategic and play soccer at a much faster pace. 

Managing my academic, athletic, and artistic responsibilities from a young age has given me the drive and confidence to know that no matter what obstacles or challenges life throws my way, I will overcome them and succeed.  I am a bi-literate (English, Chinese) International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate in rigorous AP, IB and Honors classes. I have to work really hard and understand the importance of maintaining my grades and my eligibility not only for myself but also for the team. 

If your schedule might permit, please come and check me out at the ECNL Florida Showcase 2/3 - 2/5.  I will be playing  at the Premiere Soccer Park in Lakewood Ranch, Florida on Saturday (2/3) at 4p on. field #20 and Sunday (2/4) at 2p on field #15 and on Monday (2/5) at 8a on field #4. I will be sure to follow up here and let you know if there any changes.
