alfredo adame '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Alfredo Adame, I'm currently a senior at Banneker high school located in College Park, Georgia. I was born in Denver Colorado, raised in single parent household in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas, I grew up watching and playing various sports in my life such as soccer, football and basketball, but one sport stood in to me as distinctive. In which is soccer, it was indeed  the first sport I played as a child and the first sport I watched on TV as well as watching my cousins go professional and others play college. Soccer in fact was the sport I immediately grew upon into and found a passion for.

Aside from my background, I am known for being advocate for education in my school as well as being a leader in my community, family and last but not least being a leader for my high school team. On and off the field I strive for perfection as for education and as well as being in excellent form. Playing football my whole life has been a significant role playing Centerback, and playing the Wing. I involve myself in physical training from lifting weights to doing Plyometrics. Which leads me to being a physical soccer player, I play with a “chip on my shoulder” being diverse, elusive, precise, and fast.  I’m an all-around player I can tackle like a defender and counter attack like a wing.

Leading on to another major factor that I am most I am most influenced and humbled for. I am a Christian athlete; I involve myself into church and to my community giving back to them. Ultimately I give back to the youth; unfortunately the demographics in Riverdale, GA aren’t so well having numerous counts of gang activity as well as drug trafficking as well which affects the lives of the youth leading them into the wrong path. As a result I held a Soccer Camp at the Rock Church of Atlanta this summer, creating opportunities to show the youth another door to life which is soccer, showing the youth in my community the alternate route to a productive life. Personally growing up in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico children my age did not have that outlet as well as me, but my ultimate escape from the drug cartel activity was playing soccer. Soccer has led me and molded me here as well as creating my personality, I am the most ambitious individual, I do everything to set an example for my family, community, team, and most importantly my faith.

I don’t want to tell my dreams, I want to show them. Opponents say I dream to big but I say they think to small, success is never owned its rented and rent is due every day!
