Gerardo Favela '23 Recruiting Profile

My name Is Gerardo Favela, I'm currently a sophomore at Southeast High School, I also play club soccer for NSA Hammers 16 and the older group of NSA Hammers 17.  I'm an attacking midfielder preferable but can play either side on wing since I'm both footed. I make key passes and can provide good attacking when needed.  I aspire to go onto college to continue both my academic and soccer career into a college that fits me. I plan on majoring in a successful engineering program while still continuing to play my passion for soccer.

I've continued all four years at Southeast High School, a 4a school here in Dalton, GA. Within those 4 years, I've own two state championship and 2 region championships back to back. I have contributed to many goals and assists resulting myself in national rankings individually. I first started off as a left or right wing , then moved onto attacking midfielder which was my most comfortable position, being able to send through balls, crosses, etc. 

Club wise, I play for SSA NPL team. We placed 1st and won southeastern regional, and advanced into national playoffs. Didn't get the results we wanted, but we still got 3rd overall in the national tournament. In addition, I play on the North Georgia Soccer Academy. I've played on both teams since the beginning of 2022. For NGSA we advanced to the National Tournament as well. However, we unfortunately lost in the semifinals the team eventually winning the whole tournament. Performed very well throughout the season and has led to me with a chance to sign a professional soccer academy contract for Chattanooga FC Pro.
