Erikberto Tavera '22 Recruiting Profile

Well hello coaches my name is Erikberto Tavera but most people call me Erik. I have both of my parents in my life thankfully, I have a sister and a brother, and my sister has a funny and cute son and he's just adorable. I have many goals and my inspiration is my dad and Lionel Andres Messi. One of my goals is to make it pro and when I do, I wanna help my family. I know its not easy and I have to work hard to make it somewhere. My favorite team in the world is FC Barcelona, my favorite team in the premier league is Manchester United, and my favorite manager is Pep Guardiola. My favorite player and will always be is Messi, but behind him my favorite players are Bruno Fernandes, Ozil, Kaka, De Bruyne, Frankie De Jong, Pedri, and Jack Grealish. I watch soccer everyday and especially when champions league or Europa League is on. I want to exceed in my academics to be able to succeed in soccer. I would be a good candidate for the team because I always look to play simple, switch the ball, unless I have a 1v1. I wouldn't say I'm slow but im not so fast either, but I believe I could work on that. I'd say my favorite techniques about myself are my passing and dribbling skills. I like to counterattack like Atletico Madrid does, if I lose the ball im gonna try my hardest to when the ball back, I don't like to depend on my defense even though I believe in them , I still try to fight, help and win the ball. I feel like what makes me different from other players is im dedicated to make it somewhere cause I know god put me in this world to be something, I love football and will always love this game. I feel like since im not so tall for an attacking midfielder people don't fear me but when I touch the ball they should start fearing, I believe in myself and just like Andres Inestia not so tall but one of the best midfielders I've ever seen play football, him and Messi make me believe that size doesn't matter and if you put your mind to something you can achieve anything in life. Im a shy person at first but when I get to know you then I become more comfortable, I believe my academics are great im just so not very good at math. But besides math, I can exceed in any other study if I put my mind to it. When I play for a new team I am so nervous my first game, but im gonna try to change that and feel confident while I play the game I love. But besides soccer and school I just watch some of my favorite anime, or just practice. Sorry it was so long but this is me and hopefully I can be successful in life, my family believes in me and I know my auntie in heaven believes in me as well, so ill try my best to show you what I have got. This is me, this is my story, its just starting!
