Gabriel Melendez '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gabriel Melendez and I am a senior starting my fourth varsity season at Liberty County Highschool. I play attacking midfield but I am very versatile and can play pretty much anywhere on the field. For that reason I think I can interest you and your team.

I am in the graduating class of 22’ and played varsity in Georgia’s AAA division.  I have a 3.7 GPA with a 950 SAT score. I finished freshman high school season with 7 goals and 10 assists while also making the all region 1st team. I finished sophomore season with 5 goals and 1 assist in 7 games as a captain. Junior year was completed with 7 goals and 4 assist. I am a member of Georgia’s ODP team for the 6th year. I go to many club showcases and have recently won an IVP tournament sponsored by Luis Figo for the second year in a row with my club team Coastal Empire Fc. This gave my club the opportunity to play in Malaga, Spain in the Costa Del Sol tournament where I played against professional youth academies, before COVID 19 my team was scheduled travel to Portugal. I am currently on a pending tryout with the bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf to play in there 04’ team.
