I am a junior at Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia. This season, I start at either CDM or at center back for our Varsity team. I was also the Varsity starting CDM my entire sophomore season. In 9th grade, I played "crossover" CDM on JV and Varsity, starting all JV games and playing in several Varsity games, including playoff games, during our state championship season. We won the Region 3AAA 2022 state championship and finished the season ranked #20 in the country in a poll by United Soccer Coaches. I've played for the Georgia ODP 2006 Boys squad since 2021. I played for Concorde Fire's ECNL-RL Premier team during 2022-23 and we finished in third place in the Southeast RL Region and played in the ECNL-RL Championships in Greensboro, NC in June 2023. In Fall 2023, I played for Concorde's 05-06 Champions League team while also running Varsity cross country for third high school season.
What sets me apart is that I am a versatile player. While I have the most experience playing center mid (defending and attacking), I have also played right mid for my club teams. I play CDM for ODP, but they also use me at left or right back and wing if needed. If there are injuries mid-game, coaches can move me to cover different positions. This spring (2024), my high school team is trying out some new formations and I can be used at CDM or at center back or right back.
I believe the extra miles, workouts, and meets for cross country enhance my soccer fitness, endurance, and speed. I've run Varsity cross country since 9th grade and was named to the Second Team All Region after Fall 2021. I've earned a Varsity letter for 3 years and was chosen as one of the runners to represent my high school at the Georgia State Cross Country Meet in 2021 and 2022. My current personal best for 5k trail running is 17:57:11.
I'm a hardworking and respectful player and and teammate. My coaches can count on me to be ready to play and to encourage and motivate my teammates. I enjoy studying the game, especially tactics for strategic and effective ball distribution from the midfield.
Academics are important to me and to my family. I take mostly honors and AP classes and push myself in the classroom just like on the field. I finished 9th grade with a 4.21 GPA and finished an academically challenging 10th grade year and 11th grade fall with a 4.1 GPA. I am looking for at school where I can continue to contribute and challenge myself athletically and academically.
