Personal Statement
I have always played and loved the sport of soccer since I was 8 years old. It is the only team sport that I play and it is year round. I have always played on an Elite team and have always been a starter for my club team and for my high school team. I feel one of my best qualities is that I am a team player. I respect and admire my coaches and teammates. I am supportive and always try to keep an upbeat and positive attitude no matter how tough a game may be. I believe it is important to not give negative feedback to a fellow teammate but to give encouragement which helps to maintain a more confident level in someone ,which overall helps us all to achieve our goals as winners. I have been invited each time to play for the PDP (player development programs) and both my high school team and club team has been very successful. My high school team wins state every year and I was awarded all-region/all-state last year. My club team is ranked currently in the top 6th in the state of Florida. For academics.. I go to a college prep high school and I have always received A's, B's and C's, but as a junior now, I have been working hard to get only A's and B's (trying for all A's). I am not the best at test taking when it comes to the SAT or ACT, but I have taken prep courses and have had private tutoring prior to each time and only continue to keep trying to achieve a higher score on each section. I excel at math and Spanish and have received awards for being the top student in each of these subjects over the years. As for a future in soccer, I want the opportunity to be a part of a college team. I know I can prove to be a team player and always give 100% percent at all times on and off the field..
