Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
I am a 20 year old (9/2/99) American and Swedish Citizen with dual-citizenship currently living in Sweden. During my Freshmen year in high school (2015), I moved to Sweden to pursue a career/studies in fotboll (soccer).
In April 2015, I was accepted to play for the Swedish professional soccer club called Mjällby AIF in Solvesborg Sweden and accepted to study at the Soccer academy called Furulundsskolan, with the Elite Fotball Gymnasiet. In December 2016, I moved to Malmo in Southern Sweden and was accepted to study at Fria Laroverken Fotball Gymnasium (Academy), and played for FC Rosengard Division I Men's Soccer on January 2017.
In June 2019, I graduated from the Futboll Academy with a high school diploma whilst playing for FC Rosengard.
Why am I seeking opportunities in the US? I believe in higher education and while my passion is soccer, my dream is to pursue both university studies whilst playing soccer at a high level. My aspiration is to become a professional soccer player at the highest level and not having to sacrifice my university studies. Therefore, studying in the US, will provide me that opportunity to fulfill both, university degree, and my passion for fotboll!
My geographical preference is California.
