Growing up in Idaho has had many pros but also a major con. Idaho is not a very popular state when it comes to college recruiting. Its tough to get exposed to coaches because its not a common area to visit. In a way that has pushed me to get out more and work a lot harder to gain exposure. Soccer is a sport that I have been playing for my entire life. I watched my brother play and do very well. He inspired me to want to play in college because he wasn't able to, due to injuries. Playing soccer has shown me that I love to be outside and be active. Also it has shown me that hard work pays off. I watched my brothers work hard in school and get scholarships to Universities they wanted to attend. I want to receive scholarships as well. I hope to finish high school with a 4.0 and lots of community service hours. There has been a few major obstacles I have a to overcome. The first is my size, I have never been a very large player so I have had to be more aggressive on and off the ball. The other issue I have had to overcome is coming out of an unpopular state. Its tough not getting the exposure that others get. But by making an NCSA profile and playing in many out of state tournaments I have overcome this issue.
