Soccer is a very technical sport and one that I have enjoyed since I was 5 years old. The game has taught me to collaborate with teammates, hold myself accountable to do my part, and stay on task in soccer and in school. There is a certain toughness mentally and physically that I have developed over the years, which has taught me to be focused and determined on and off the field.
When I was 10 years old, I found myself wanting to play goalkeeper, so that I could help my team see the field better and take ultimate responsibility for any shots on goal. Seeing the field from the back line, organizing players, setting up goal opportunities for my teammates and making big saves, is what drives me to constantly want to improve my fitness and soccer abilities.
I consider myself to be a very coach-able and hard working player, with a forward thinking mindset. I thrive best in tough situations and bring a sense of calmness to my teammates, especially when stakes are high. Having a positive and competitive attitude and trust with teammates is essential for the continual growth of any team I play with. Mentoring younger players has also taught me to see the game from a different vantage. I look forward to the opportunity to gain more experience and have access to feedback to continue developing my goalkeeping skills.
