Personal Statement
My name is Braden Damotte, and I will graduate from high school in 2022. I trained and competed with John Gaspar Soccer Academy, Morton Premier Soccer Club, and the Illinois Central College head soccer coach up until my sophomore year, and I am now a part of Central Illinois United's 2004 Boys Copa team. I have played at the varsity level for Morton High School all four years of my high school career. Since joining the high school team, different coaches have started me as a forward, center back, outside, attacking, and defensive midfielder. Although, for the past two seasons, I have primarily been an attacking or defensive midfielder.
After a successful freshman year, my mind has been set on playing soccer at the collegiate level. I feel like I am one of the hardest workers when I step on the field during both practices and games. I am also dedicated off the field in terms of my education and academics. Despite a busy athletic schedule with soccer and track, I have been able to maintain exceptional grades, and I have been nominated as part of the National Honor Society and High Honor Roll. My gameplay displays my winner mentality and my willingness to do whatever it takes for my team to win. Whether I am given the task to go score a goal, control the midfield, or man mark the opposing forward, I will give my best effort to help my school and team succeed.
