Personal Statement
My name is Anthony Coppotelli. I am a sophomore at Blackburn College. My goal is to be a great student-athlete by working harder and harder each year as soccer and academics become more challenging. I will continue to push and dedicate myself to rising to the next level. I have always wanted to play soccer at a collegiate level while furthering my education. In my senior year of high school, I was made one of the two captains and was voted offensive player of the year by my team. I played midfield and was the top scorer for the year for Collinsville. First team all conference, academic all conference, all sectional for District 12, and honorable mention for all state were all awards I received. Afterwards, I chose to attend Blackburn College for my first 2 years. I was a two-year starter and developed a great feel for the game at the collegiate level. I ended up being ranked in the top 10 for points in the SLIAC this year. Due to the pandemic my freshman year, our season was shortened to 10 games in spring 2021. I still have 3 years of eligibility that I plan to pursue. I am ready for a challenge that will bring me to the next level of D1 or D2 college soccer. I am determined and ready to work hard towards improving myself and achieving my dreams!
