Personal Statement
My name is Hunter Holke, I just finished my Junior at Geneseo High School located in Geneseo Il. I am an extremely competitive person on and off the pitch. I am strong with both feet and take great pride elevating my teams play leading by example. I am offensively minded and creative with the ball creating opportunities for myself and my teammates. Always looking for areas to exploit and giving up a good shot to get my teammate a better one. I was named offensive player of the year my first two years on High School. I have four years of ODP experience and playing with the Illinois State Select team. I have been blessed to have had opportunity to learn from many college level coaches and play on a variety club teams. I am quick, running s sub 52 sec 400M consistently during my track season. My High School team won the Western Big 6 Conference Championship and I was named 1st Team All Conference this past season. Leading the Western Big 6 in scoring (15 goals and 14 assists in 11 games) this past season, my Junior year and HM my Sophomore year . 2019 Sectional Champions before being knocked out of the playoffs by nationally ranked Peoria ND. This past shortened season we were not allowed to have a post season.
I am just as competitive in the classroom. Currently earning a 3.3 GPA, I take my studies seriously and my work ethic shows in my grades. Continuing my soccer journey in college has been a goal of mine for many years, I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to team after High School. The current pandemic may have stalled our High School season, however, I continue to find opportunities to play and develop playing in an adult league and various showcases. I feel blessed to have had our season and wish everyone who loves the game as I do best wishes as we navigate 2021. It is important to me to be in close proximity to my parents so they can attend as many events as possible. I am interested in schools in the mid west(Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin) but would consider other opportunities.
