For the past seven years I've played every soccer season with my travel club until the current global pandemic canceled my spring soccer season. During this time I've tried to use my extra free time productively and continue to practice on my own. I want to make sure I'm ready for my first season in high school, this fall.
My first coach and mentor, Coach Cruz, inspired me to always be the best that I can be and to never give up and keep my head in the game. When I'm on the field I tune everything else out and concentrate on where the ball is and where my teammates and opponents are. I want to play well for myself but I also need to play well for my teammates, because I strive to be a player that my team can count on. I enjoy playing different sports but soccer is the sport that I am most comfortable with. At the age of 13 I became a certified referee. If I'm not at school I'm on the field practicing, playing or referring soccer.
I have not completely decided on what to study in college. Sports management and aviation technology are my two top choices. The reason I would start a career in sports management is because I enjoy playing and watching many different sports and with my leadership abilities, I think this would be a good fit. However, aviation runs in my family, both my parents are airline pilots and my dad is also a retired army helicopter pilot. I have grown up in an aviation household and I would enjoy working in the aviation industry.
