Personal Statement
I am excited to go to college. I am interested in business and also history. I especially enjoy learning about World War II. School was not always something I enjoyed. I struggled during elementary and middle school. I was diagnosed in 6th grade with dyslexia. I worked really hard and was able to overcome that learning disability. I was determined and put my nose to the grindstone. It took some time but I figured out what worked for me as far as test taking and ways to comprehend information. My freshman year I struggled and had a C average. I continued to work hard. By the end of my sophomore year I was getting Bs and Cs. Now in my Senior year I am getting straight As and Bs. This is with a heavy workload and choosing academic classes like War & Conflict, Debate, Marketing and 20th Century Wars as my electives. Now I feel successful and enjoy being part of the class. Throughout all this though what helped push and motivate me was soccer. I love soccer. I love everything about soccer. My teammates are my brothers. I am a very competitive person. I want to win and I practice to win. I want to be the best player and I want my team to be the best. I never miss practice and I will push my teammates as hard as I push myself. I am a player that listens to my coaches. I want to learn and be the best player I can. My coaches say I am a leader on the field. They call me a versatile player because they can move me around and I will do well wherever they put me. I am looking to find a college coach that believes in me. I can't wait to compete at the college level.
