Lorenzo Mancera '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, My name is Lorenzo Mancera I attend Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, Illinois. What makes me a good candidate for your programs is I am a good leader on and off the field and I am a very hard worker in school and in soccer. I have been playing soccer since the age of 6 and I have Developed more and more as the years come. I play in a club/travel team called Iproskills academy in Chicago Illinois known for developing young players into becoming better on and off the field, my coach, Coach Costel has not only taught me how to become a better player but also a better person overall he always tells me hard work always beats talent and that’s something I remind myself.

I‘ve been apart of my states ODP program in 2023 and 2024 where I have been selected for the state team, Midwest regional pool camp, and made the midwest regional team 2 years in a row. In the fall of 2023 I got selected for a national showcase in Arizona with Alianza, a program known for taking soccer players to the next level. I was one of 64/4000 players around the country selected for this. At this showcase I received trials from Chivas, Atlas, Necaxa, Pachuca, Toluca, and Monterrey all in Mexico. As for trials received from MLS Next team, I received one from Real Salt Lake. I finished in the top 5 players of the showcase with the most invites from academies.

My goal has always been to get to that top level of pro soccer and I am confident I can get there if I keep up the hard work I’ve been putting year after year.
