One of my strongest characteristics is that I am versatile on the field, and in the last two years have played right or left midfield or forward, and sometimes center defense if my coach needs me to reinforce that area. I am equally strong on both feet, have solid ball control, and often use my speed, more lately in my role as a left/right midfield or wing-back. I am creative at finding gaps for passing, and I use my strong soccer experience from many years as a club (Skomor and more recently Eleven United/Chicago Fire Juniors North) and High School Varsity player (starting line-up as a junior) to read the game and anticipate plays.
All of my coaches have found me to be a great team player because I am very positive with my peers, I am a quick learner, and I adjust easily to different situations, coaching styles, and athletic/academic environments. I am very competitive on the field, but I am also level headed about how I approach the game and my opponents. Because of this, I think I help build strong team rapport.
I approach my academics in the same way that I approach soccer: I am focused on the tasks, I ask for assistance when necessary, and I take responsibility for my mistakes and learn from them. I have a strong academic record because my work ethics and I hope to be in a challenging academic and soccer environment in college.
