Hi, I am Tenzin phagyal, I am 16 years old. I play soccer for Bloomington high school south. I love playing soccer, my dream is to become a professional soccer player. I play for my family, country and a better future for myself. I was born in India, a place called Maj-Nu-Ka-Tilla. I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old but there were no facilities there and then I start playing Street soccer on the street with my friends. I move here and here in America have really good facilities so I want to take the opportunities. I played my first game on the field, it feels way different than street soccer. My moves and skills were not working but I learned, I joined clubs and travel teams of Cutters. I learned how to play soccer by watching youtube and videos. I love to play LW but when I joined JV soccer for school, the coach put me on RW than I got used to it. when I joined club soccer for Cutters, the coach put me on forward than I got used to it. When I played Varsity soccer, the coach put me on Midfield.
when it comes to soccer I am very competitive. I always tried to play as a team. Whenever we play games and new challenges, I always motivate myself and show everything I got. My English is very poor and my English is improving and I always put in my mind that I have to study well so I can join good colleges. Soccer always motivates me to study well. My English is very poor but still I always try hard to get higher grades every time.
Sometimes I might not always win a game or score a goal but the good sportsmanship that I have learned from being a soccer player has taught me never to be discouraged. Soccer has taught me that I should never give up and that I should keep trying Even though my shot did not become a goal or lose the game. I have learned that taking risks in this sport. That is what life is all about, taking risks and trying to reach your goals.
