Personal Statement
Growing up the only sport I knew how to play was soccer, and it was the sport my dad had taught me to play. My dad is a big role model for me everytime I step onto the field because of the simple fact that he’s my father, but also because he used to be a professional player in Mexico. He has been guiding me to improve and grow, not only as a soccer player, but as a person as well.
My aspirations are to be able to keep playing while studying at a college. During high school my grades have stayed consistent while participating in after school activities. In school I’ve stayed determined about staying on top of things and on the field I’ve been passionately focused on improving my game. At times while on the bench I would stand up to yell and motivate the team to not give up and put their heads down. Motivation has always been key in order to play good, and I always like to focus and motivate the team. The experience of playing soccer and practicing over the years have taught me respect and discipline.
