2017 Full Sophomo...Personal Statement
The highlight of my high school career is winning the Indiana State Championship, helping lead my team as a freshman goalkeeper. I started off as the back-up, but soon overtook the senior captain's place and kept it. In my sophomore year, my team didn't make it past sectionals. Even though it was a rough time, it has made me work even harder. This experience has shown me that if I want a change on the pitch, I need to be committed and work to see a difference.
Even though soccer is my favorite sport, I am a kicker for the football team. Through all the practices and keeping the coaches happy, I have kept my grades up as high as they can be. I am looking for a school not only with a good soccer team, but also with amazing academics. Being a goalkeeper has taught me how to be a leader. Being a leader has helped with my communication, teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment. I would love nothing more than to play soccer in college. It truly makes me happy!
