College coaches, my biggest dream since I was little has been to play soccer in college. I've played multiple sports (football, wrestling, golf) and most of them came pretty natural to me, but my true love has always been soccer. In Indiana we have to decide upon entering 9th grade between soccer and football due to the fall sports conflict. As much as I've enjoyed playing football, I knew the right choice for me was to follow my passion and play soccer. My goal since that decision is to move beyond high school and club soccer toward a college program, where the energy and pace are much faster. So far in my high school soccer career, I have been awarded with MVP-DEFENSE on the JV team freshman year, MENTAL ATTITUDE for Varsity my Sophomore year, and MVP-DEFENSE for Varsity my Junior year. Individually I was recognized as all conference, and all area my Junior year as well.
Even though my love for soccer comes above most things it does not stand in my way of school. I work hard on my academics and strive to be a good student-athlete. My grades freshman year were not as great as I would have liked them to be. I've realized that mistake and I'm working hard every day to build my GPA back up as I don't believe my current GPA reflects my long term ability.
Soccer has and will continue play a large role in my life. As a player I continue to work on getting stronger, faster, and gaining more mental awareness on the field. I am learning to adapt to different situations on the field and my self-confidence and leadership stands out. I am driven to be the best athlete I can be.
