Personal Statement
"Sometimes you have to do the things you hate to succeed in the thing you love". This is a quote that I thinks describes how I get work done. Whether it be on the field or in the classroom, there will always be something that you are not completely found of, but as the quote says, you have to do the things you hate in order to succeed. My whole life my parents, coaches, and peers have described as a competitor and a hard worker. I have shown this in 5 A.M. workouts and late night workouts. This also shows that I am willing to adjust my schedule to get the extra work in to better myself. I have shown that I am a hard worker out of the gym and off of the field by taking some of the hardest classes that I am allowed to take to make sure that I am getting the highest level of education.
Apart from the mental side of the game, I have been described as an exceptional athlete. I have played basketball and have ran track when I was younger. I feel like my 6'4" frame helps be a lot in goal along with my jumping ability and speed.
When away from soccer and school, I enjoy playing guitar. I have used my talents to play in many charity concerts over the years to raise a lot of money for local fundraisers and charities.
Soccer has been a huge part in my life ever since I was about 4 years old. I have played for a number of club teams and for my high school for my 3 years here. My father played soccer for the entirety of his youth and through high school. He even played in men's leagues when he was in his 20's and 30's. He has been my biggest inspiration and he has always pushed me to be the best I passably can be.
I also want to continue my academic career in an environment that will make sure I can reach my full potential. I have always been at the upper part of my class and my teachers have always thought very highly of my academics and my character. I plan on studying computer engineering.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and to get to know me more as a player and a person.
