My personality and character have been greatly influenced by my role models and family. As a child, my parents always pushed me to do well in school and to never give up on my goals in life, however, they were not the only people pushing me. I have always been a person to push myself to strive for better things and achieve personal happiness and satisfaction in what I achieve. My love for the game of soccer began as a child and it sprouted from my family. I really wanted to be like my father and my older brothers. From this however, a passion for the sport was born inside me. I could see myself, even as a kid, wanting to improve on my skills and also push myself to my limits.
Soccer has showed me a lot about my character and certain qualities I have in my everyday life. One of these qualities being that I am a fighter. I will never give up on myself despite the put downs and challenges thrown at me. If I hit the ground or get a bad grade on a test, I will get right back up and try to fix my mistake or play harder. I was once told by a former travel coach that he just didn't think that I was cut out for soccer. When told this at a young age, I was absolutely devastated. That night my parents pulled me aside and asked me if I wanted to walk away from the team and join another. It was very tempting and I was about to do it, but I decided to stay and work harder to prove that coach wrong. With a lot of hard work at Crossfit and practicing my skills, I rose up to be one of the top players on the team. To this day, the coach that doubted me still says I was one of the only people to prove him wrong.
My goals for high school are to finish with a 4.0 GPA and graduate in the top 10% of my class. My goals for college are to get outstanding grades and to qualify for Veterinarian School.
