My personality and character have been greatly influenced by my role models and family. As a child, my parents always pushed me to do well in school and to never give up on my goals in life, however, they were not the only people pushing me. I have always been a person to push myself to strive for better things and achieve personal happiness and satisfaction. My love for the game of soccer began as a child and it sprouted from my family. I really wanted to be like my father and my older brothers. From this, a passion for the sport was born inside me. I could see myself, even as a kid, wanting to improve on my skills and also push myself to my limits.
Soccer has showed me a lot about my character and certain qualities I have in my everyday life. One of these qualities is that I am a fighter. I will never give up on myself despite the put downs and challenges thrown at me. If I hit the ground or get a bad grade on a test, I will get right back up and try to fix my mistake or play harder. I was once told by a former travel coach that he just didn't think that I was cut out for soccer. When told this at a young age, I was absolutely devastated. That night my parents pulled me aside and asked me if I wanted to walk away from the team and join another. It was very tempting and I was about to do it, but I decided to stay and work harder to prove that coach wrong. With a lot of hard work at Crossfit and practicing my skills, I rose up to be one of the top players on the team. To this day, the coach that doubted me still says I was one of the only people to prove him wrong.
My goals for high school are to graduate summa cum laude with an academic and technical honors diploma. My goals for college are to get outstanding grades and be accepted to Veterinary School.
