Personal Statement
Believing in going pro is a struggle. I was raised in Kaduna and Abuja, Nigeria from a family that was not rich but comfortable where we was and dreams like becoming a soccer player isn’t really feasible because that’s not going to put food on your table.
We believed in “education” first, over everything which so to say is not bad because having an education is key in the world we live in today. Playing soccer all years of middle school, high school and still playing in college. I have come to realize that it’s all at our fingertips and work is set out for you to do.
While in Nigeria, I had no clue about the recruiting process, ncaa or ncsa not till I moved to New Orleans in 2020 and ever since then it’s been a non stop grind. Now know the importance of clips because in Nigeria no one gave two hoots about recording our games just in case we didn’t want to be a Lawyer or a Doctor or an Engineer. Now the responsibility is mine and I intend on taking it up but using whatever means I have to get seen. I don’t really care where I start from school wise, all I know is that the work I put would show how much this passion to going Pro still means to me.
