Personal Statement
Hello coaches, my name is Omar Hosni, I am in the U17 category and I believe that I am a really good candidate for your team. I have been playing Football since I was 4 years old and was at Barca Academy Dubai for 8 years until I turned 12. I have played in countless tournaments abroad including the Barca Academy World Cup where we placed 17th in the world and I was a starter. I have won many trophies with Barca including league titles, and individual awards such as top scorer of the league and was in the top 3 for best player. So I have had the experience of playing Football for a long time. I then joined Spanish soccer school, the legend Michel Salgado's Academy for a year. I played in the world-famous Intercontinental Cup against teams like Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Porto. Then and went on to sign for a pro team in the UAE, Ajman Club. I was registered in the UAEFA (UAE Football Association) as an official national player. I had a good season with them and then one of the biggest teams in the UAE signed me the next season, Al Wasl S.C. Along with achievements outside of school athletics, I have also been active in school teams. I was in the Soccer team every year from grade 5 all the way to varsity and was always a starter and key player. I was 11 years old and playing in the U14 team and got the most improved player of the year. I was vice-captain of my Junior varsity team, with my brother being the captain. Last year I went to the official Manchester City camp in Manchester and got Most Valuable Player, recognised by official Man City coaches it was a nice feeling. Unfortunately earlier this year I got a 3rd degree sprain on my ankle and was out for 8 months. They were the hardest moments of my life. This shows that I am different from others because most people would have quit but I stayed resilient, stayed on my path, and blocked out all the noise from the outside. When I have a goal I want to achieve I won't stop until I reach it. I will never stop working for my dream. I am a very respectful person on the pitch. I don't start problems or get into fights. I have a good attitude and education. My aim for college is to play in Division 1. I want to show myself to everyone and show my capability. I have a lot of qualities not only in Football, but I am very athletic and can play multiple sports, I have a passion for sports but Soccer has always been number one. I also know how to balance my Soccer with my education and school. As soon as I finish school I go straight to training and then study for a bit when I get home. I do that every day. I can play every position on the pitch but my main position is left winger and can play as a 10. I feel that this unlocks more of me because I have a really good vision of the ball and I am really smart in Soccer. I have a good understanding of the game and read it well.
