Personal Statement
I Edgar Piña Álvarez, want to be different as the rest because my short term goal would be to finish high school in an excellent way and at the same time to achieve as many titles as possible with Chivas and with the school and looking towards the future I would like to enter a good university with a good scholarship and to be a fundamental part of the team both on and off the field because I feel I am a good leader and could help the team a lot, after having had a great college career I would like to dedicate myself to professional soccer as part of the MLS.
But what makes me different from the rest is that I am a persevering and passionate person, I never leave anything half way and I am a person who can take both academics and sports by the hand since I have a very good average and it makes school easier for me and I feel that this can help me in the future and I always want to learn new things.
It is important to mention that I have participated in several academic school contests that consist of oratory, poetry, mathematics and I have also participated in several social work activities that are mandatory by the school but I do it with pleasure that consist of going to nursing homes and take care of the elderly and it is not just giving them economic help but sharing time with them as well as with orphanages since the last time I went I met several children who were my age and I could talk very well with them.
In conclusion, I believe that I could be a key player in some universities because I am not only good for sports or only for school but I can do both at the same time and I can also practice other sports at the moment I do athletics and I feel that it helps me to improve my condition playing soccer and I am one competition away from being champion of the state league in which all the private schools of Jalisco compete.
