Abdulrahman Bastoni '18 Recruiting Profile

      Introducing myself, I would consider and categorise my profile as a dedicated, passionate and committed soccer player who has been striving to be the absolute best athlete while trying to pursue the highest level in soccer through hard work and perseverance. Playing in the states in my opinion is an amazing platform and environment I personally feel would be the ideal place to showcase my abilities and desire to be an incredible asset to any team I commit to due to my professional tolerance when it comes to listening to coaches on what they have to say and want to achieve but also, implement what they want to see on the field to achieve the results we want. What makes me different from other recruits is that when we're not training as a team, I'm most probably either in the gym working on my physical strength as well as also being on the soccer pitch after training hours to work on certain aspects of my game in order to push myself higher than my potential. All this is to make my coach proud that he has recruited the right player into his squad. 

      This isn’t easy, but the best characteristics I feel best describe me as a player is a person is that I’m not a shy person nor am I a negative one. I always have that desire to be a leader and be the best teammate I can be in a moral way because at the end of the day, nothing can be achieved without the perseverance of a team coming together and fighting to win championships. To add to that, I feel I’m best known as a player who distributes the ball from one side to another either through a cross or a pass as well as, having high awareness of any players around me by constantly checking my shoulder for any threats which is crucial for any midfielder to excel on the field. One of the most important traits I feel is a key to me being the player I am today is the ability to have a professional attitude on the pitch who constantly communicates with teammates and my coach and that has greatly contributed to my personal development as I go up the ranks as a football player.
