Personal Statement
My name is Nicolas Birkheuer I am 17 years old and I will graduate at the end of the year 2021, and I plan to take a gap year in the year 2022 to prepare for college. My biggest dream is to study in the United States, but the costs are very high, and I ended up finding in soccer a way to possibly win a scholarship and be able to give back to college through my soccer. Lately, due to the pandemic, the championships have been canceled and, moreover, in Brazil we do not have the habit of recording the games, so I don't have videos of me playing, but I'm willing to go to the united states to show them in person that I'm capable of with the ball at my feet.
Of all my friends who play soccer, I'm known for never giving up on a move, for not being afraid of a stronger split and mainly because of my speed and agility, when everyone's tired I keep running and pushing myself to the maximum, in addition to playing in different positions, as I can score goals and give assists, as well as help defend and rebuild the team. And now, I want to have the opportunity to play at college, because I believe I can add a lot to a team, and thus achieve my biggest dream, having a quality education and a unique life experience.
