Personal Statement
While natural talent provides you with an advantage over others, it is not enough on its own to succeed. I believe that hard work, sacrifice and the willingness to listen are key principles to success. As a student and footballer I apply these principles to my study and training to become a better student and footballer. I demonstrated this when I moved to England from Australia in 2015. I had to adapt to new school system and prove myself again on the pitch. Through my hard work, sacrifice and a willingness to listen I have obtained high grades in my GCSE studies and was signed as an Academy player at Luton FC in England (a professional football club).
I am striving to be the best footballer I can. To do this, I need to work with the best coaches, train and play with the best players and compete against high quality opposition. However I also believe football is a team game and for the team to be successful it is important that each player brings to the team a set of personal characteristics and skills. I believe my personal strengths are my coachability, commitment to improve and attitude. I am a technical player who has excellent vision, good decision-making abilities and is creative in the final third. These attributes are complemented by my athletic strengths of acceleration and agility.
