Personal Statement
My name is Edoardo Latini, I am an italian citizen living in Rome, Italy, currently finishing my junior year (class of 2016) at Institut Saint Dominique (a French school in Rome). I was born on the 18/02/98, I am 5.7 and weight 65kgs.
I am strongly considering completing my university education in the United States, which has always been a dream of mine. I am a straight A student with a GPA of 4.0, with main interest in business and economics, which is the field of studies I wish to pursue during my college years.
As an italian, my extra curriculum life, I should say my second life, has always evolved around soccer, from my first steps until today, I have always played soccer, I have it in my blood. I have been fortunate to play in Rome's best soccer teams. Throughout the years, I have played at different positions, but for the past few years I have developed my skills as midfielder. I’m dedicated on and off the filed, I have a great vision of the game, I have a great sense of placement with or without the ball, I am intuitive, fast runner and tireless on the field. Off the field, I have always been a team member working constantly for the benefit of the group. Soccer is an important part of my life, and besides school and family this is where I spent most of my free time, on a soccer field
Herebelow is a detailed description of my last four seasons with the different teams I played with:
Season 2014-2015 I played and still play at the Spes Montesacro. I am the Captain of the team and I have contributed to 5 goals and 12 assists. (This season I played with the born in 1997 category)
Season 2013 -2014 I stayed in the same team : Polisportiva Vigor Perconti as the vice-captain and we got fourth in the championship.
Season of 2012-2013 I played at the Polisportiva Vigor Perconti team in which I was the vice-captain. We won the championship with the following statistics : 22-4-2. With a total of 19 assists and 3 goals.Season of 2011-2012 I played at the Futbol Club Team. Playing as attacking midfielder with 17 goals and 7 assists leading my team to an overall fourth position in the championship . The same year I also contributed to 3 goals in 6 games in the Memorial Ramondo Serra tournament in which we lost in the semi-finals against the SS Lazio, (second best scorer of the tournament).
I have always been used to put together a strong level of dedication both at school and in sports. As far as my college selection, my wish is to incorporate a great college which can combine excellence both is academics and sports, with a great environment where I could feel comfortable achieving these goals.
