Personal Statement
I am a multi-sport athlete that brings speed and a high IQ to the field. After years of pursuing Hockey at the highest level while still maintaining my participation in other sports I decided to return to Soccer for my Senior year. This return to Soccer helped my discover my love for the game and a recent decision to pursue Soccer at the collegiate level.
As a Multi-Sport Athlete that has played hockey for clubs more than two hours from my home I have had to learn to balance education, training, social responsibilities, and team at a young age. This time managing schedule, and sometimes not managing the schedule well, have prepared me for the next steps in my athletics and academics. In Junior High while traveling 2 + hours for practice 2-3 nights per week and traveling on Weekends I was able to achieve the CSDHL Academic Honor Roll for straight A's.
Through multiple sports I have learned to play and work with diverse groups of people and teammates and have always found that my responsibility first was to the team and to defending. Whether it be Soccer and working on skill but relying on speed to protect our goal or being versatile in baseball and playing at some time or another all nine positions on the field the team concept is important to me. I have been fortunate to receive different individual honors, but after playing baseball with the same group of teammates for almost six years to finally win the U15 Iowa State Tournament and advance to Regionals in 2019 was a very exciting accomplishment.
