Personal Statement
Hi my name is Isaac Lovell. My goals for my life and for soccer are to go to the MLS. I want to win a state championship this year for St. James and I want to win a starting spot on varsity this year. I want to win and everyone does but losing also coming around too, besides the 1972 dolphins. Losing is always a great opportunity to learn from what mistakes you made because no one can be great without failure and that’s just the truth. In that failure I’ve learned so much and I’m still learning a whole lot. It’s a never ending cycle of being your best and learning how to play your position better. I am always fun to be around and I try to lift my team up as much as I can. I don’t want to be an anchor that puts everyone down but I am a solid foundation for everyone to rely on. Soccer has always been apart of my life from when I was in preschool all the way up to now. It has been an escape for me to just be happy and play the game I love. I play for OFC “Olympic Football Club” we are a D1 team and I came into this team this year to help me grow and become better. I got a starting stop at center back when I came on and from the games I played with OFC we were doing very good. I go to high school at St. James Academy And last year as a freshman I was a starting center back for JV and was asked to play up for state until I got injured that year. JV is not as serious as Varsity and I know that but it did teach me a lot and helped me out. Lastly for the past 3 years I have done ODP and have excelled in that. I have gone down to the big tournaments with the 05team and this year I was working on getting invited to the regional ID camp. I have been working very hard this past year and would love to take my skills to the next level and to be recognized by scouts. Not every game I play is perfect but the only one who was perfect was Jesus and i know that God has a plan for me and will guide me all the way.
