David Sorkin '26 Recruiting Profile

Soccer is my first love. It is something I do to get away from everything else and is something I discovered when I was just four years old. Every night, I dream like many, to one day be able to play at the professional level. However, I don’t just dream of becoming a pro. I want to make it a reality, which means I make sure to give it my all whenever I step onto the pitch, but also make sure to properly take care of my body when I’m away from soccer.

I believe some of my best qualities would be my passing ability, vision and movement on and off the ball, and the ability to dictate the tempo of the game. I always want to be the most hardworking player on the field but I make sure to have good decision making. Never I have a doubt in my mind that my team and I will win the game and even if we don’t, it is just a good learning moment. I always make sure to have a good attitude and don’t let the emotions take control of me as well as my teammates around me.

Not only do I believe that I am a strong, reliable player, I am also someone who takes my education very seriously and work in all areas of bettering myself. I know how important having good grades are and I continue to study and keep up with all my school work. Not only is my dream to play at the professional level, it is also my goal for when I graduate high school, to play at a NCAA Division 1 college soccer program.

My team, Toca FC 08B Elite 64, has won both Orlando and San Diego National Championships two years in a row. My High School Varsity team were named 2024 KSHSAA State Champions in my sophomore year.

I truly believe that working hard, learning, training and making sure I’m good in school will get me far in life. I strive to be the best person possible as well as the best soccer player I can be.
