Personal Statement

My name is Chase Clausing, I am 19 years old, 5'10 and my weight 160 pounds.  I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old.  Currently I workout everyday in the school gym and go to Colaw Fitness in Topeka, Kansas 5 days a week. I have my own workout routine to become a stronger and faster player.  I would love to attend a College/University in the midwest to stay close to family, however I would do another region if I need to.  While on the field playing, I love getting up in the attack, countering as a team and scoring clinical goals.  Being a center back, I've never been afraid of the ball! My #1 goal is to always get the to ball first, whether if I'm trying to score or not.  On and off the field I am a leader in my soccer community.  I am constantly there to help my teammates out when it is needed. My strength as a leader is that I am loud and a commander on the field.  I have been a Captain for my club team Topeka Select Copa Mundial (which plays in Division 1 for Heartland Association in Kansas City) for 6 years and I was a Captain for my high school team (Washburn Rural High School, 6A) my senior year making 2nd team All State, 1st team All City, 1st team All League, and Varsity player of the year.  I would be a strong asset to anyone's team due to the fact that I am a strong leader and a great teammate. I always give 100% at all times for practice, trainings and games.  My love and passion for your team would be to not quit, to always keep going and keep achieving more.

In the classroom I am a good listener and I hate to not get my work done.  I consistently make sure that I am caught up in my classes and to always ask for help when it is needed. I am a nice student and never have any attitude towards my teachers.  Instead I show respect to to all teachers and coaches.

My goal is to be the team's most competitive player on and off the field, while being an amazing defender.   A personal goal I have is to be a starting player for your team as I grow and develop in the new environment of your program. A goal for the classroom would be getting my education, as this is important for my future after soccer.
I was a starter for the Men’s Soccer Team at Barton Community College in Great Bend Kansas.  The position I played was Right Back  or Center  Back. I will finish up my Associates Degree  in May Of 2022.
