Personal Statement
Placing 3rd in the state tournament for high school my sophomore year was a great journey in my soccer career. At the end of the season, while we did lose, we also won. The brotherhood we created will last forever. I learned that the game is more than just winning games and tournaments but it is also about the brotherhood that you create along the way.
I began playing soccer when I was 3 years old and my love for the game has only risen. While there have been many obstacles throughout these 14 years, they have not deterred me from my goals. Sitting out a season due to an injury has not wavered my passion to play in college, it has only fueled my desire. The obstacles I have overcome have made me grow as a person and player. They have given me strength to fight harder and have taught me to take nothing for granite. They have inspired me to be the best I can while motivating and pushing my teammates to strive for greatness. With unwavering determination and being a six-time captain, I know I have what it takes to be a leader for your team.
