I have been playing soccer since the mere age of 7. Since I first started playing soccer, I have aspired to become the best I could possibly be. I strive to bring success and a good attitude to wherever I go.
I have played club soccer since the first grade, and have played for the River City Jaguars at the varsity level for the past 5 years. I have served as a team captain for the past two years, and personally believe that our team has a good chance at winning state this year. My philosophy is to lead by example while still encouraging my teammates.
In the school environment, I study hard and maintain a 4.0 GPA. I also have excelled in other activities such as chess, where I am the state-champion in Kentucky for my age level, and part of the CEC high school chess team that won the state championship in 2018, and tied in 2019. I also have a vast work experience: working over summers with Springbok Lawn and Landscape (500+ hours my junior year), working as a chess teacher for Cornerstone Classical students, and volunteering in many capacities, (over 300 hours) especially in the special-needs community.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I particularly want to attend the Air Force Academy or West Point, and then serve my country in some form or fashion. However, I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match that will provide an exceptional education and sports program. I am particularly interested in the field of mechanical engineering, and I hope to become a strong role model to all my peers and bring success to the class and sport environment.
While I cannot promise to be perfect, I promise that I would be an asset to any team through my perseverance, attitude, and consistency.
