Personal Statement

I am an intelligent and athletic center back who loves physical play. I am an unselfish player who always puts the team first. I am not about individual awards because it is the team that wins championships. I am an extremely competitive player who loves to win and hates to lose but I also realize that soccer is just a game I love to play. Right now I am setting my sights on playing at the next level. I have always been a solid contributor to every team I've ever been a part of. I have played for my current club coach for 3 years and I usually play almost every minute of every game in every season.

To be honest, I am not one of those students that knows what they want to study in college at the age of 17, I am looking for a college that will offer a wide array of classes that will let me find what's the right fit for me. While I am talented in math (I won the freshmen math award), I also enjoy the sciences and visual arts. I chose Kentucky Country Day because I wanted a school that would challenge me academically and give me the opportunity to study many different subjects.

In our 2018 spring season, my OESA-KY 02 Academy team was a KYSA U16 State Cup semifinalist. My team lost 3-1 in pool play to the eventual state champs and lost 8-7 on pks in the semifinals to the eventual state runner ups. We also finished undefeated in the KSSL Premier League and 3rd place in the BYPSL State League. In our 2017 spring season, my team won the KYSA U15 Presidents Cup and went to the USYSA Midwest Regionals in Kansas City where we went 1-1-1 in pool play.
