Collin Edwards '22 Recruiting Profile

Ever since a young age, I have understood the big moment. I have been playing soccer since my fifth grade year and most of my career has been under one of the best coaches in the region, as well as being developed by some of the best players under him. My major development started as a young eighth grader pulled up to said coach’s varsity team. I was brought up as a raw talent and have been developing into the player and leader I am today.  I got to experience two varsity state championships at a young age and winning one my freshman year. This has lead me into developing quicker than most athletes and winning a Most Improved Player award. Soccer has taught me character, discipline, respect, along with making the most of every moment to do better than the last and improve. I will be a good fit for a college team because I have been seen as a raw talent and have become one of the most coachable players throughout my career. I have thick skin.  I am a leader on the field and have experience being a versatile threat playing anywhere on the field and playing it well. I will give my all into any program and any system and will seek to improve my team as well as myself. I am a consistent honor roll student and one of the best student athletes in my class, training around the clock on the field and in my grades. My GPA has always been 3.5 or higher and has risen to 3.9, allowing me to challenge myself in my class choices while becoming a student ambassador/leader. I look for a college that can challenge me on the field and in the classroom, one that can help me grow and lead into a leader that I am meant to be.
