Personal Statement

I have played soccer since the age of 4 and have always enjoyed the competition and physicality of it. I have never been a high volume goal scorer as my role has been, primarily on every team, to defend and start the counter attack to make others dangerous with good anticipation and accurate passes. I have excellent ball skills and field vision. My technical and tactical skills have always been complimented by my coaches. I have continued to improve every year as evidenced in me being awarded "Most Improved" for my high school team this year primarily due to my increased offensive mindedness and ability to take on defenders; putting them off balance. I am a tenacious defender who loves a challenge and plays much larger than my size would lead you to think. I have a GPA north of 4.4 and an ACT of 32 so I am an academic asset to a program also. You will not be sorry if you take a chance on me.

Teams from three campuses were merged into competitive level teams. At this time, I was placed on the club 2nd team where I was a starter in the midfield.
2016 Louisiana Fire (LA) (Competitive 1 - Navy )
After the year with the Silver team, I graduated to Navy after a year of adjustment to bigger and faster players up to 11 months older instead of before when I had a birthday halfway through the year. I grew a ton in that year and this one. My coach believed in a very physical game and gave me a ton of confidence as he relied on me in the middle of the field extensively.
2015 Louisiana Fire (LA) (Competitive 2 - Silver)
This was the year that LA went to the birth year as team assignments. With that, I had a November birthday and it cost me a year of development as I was all of a sudden U11 instead of U10 without the change.
2014 Louisiana Fire (LA) (Play up 9 year old Red (Compete in 10 year old division))
First year of competitive level soccer. One of only 11 selected to team through tryout process. Was selected as a field player and 2nd keeper.

I run cross country, indoor and outdoor track

I have participated in primarily cross country since middle school and have added track distance and relays to my workload. My stamina is maintained year-round. In summer training we swim and workout in the weight room in addition to running.
