I have been playing club soccer for almost 9 years. Of those 9 years, I have been team captain for the past 2 years on C1 teams. This leadership role has allowed me to become more confident in my soccer playing skills as well as my ability to lead. This responsibility has taught me several valuable lessons including being selfless, encouraging myself and others to do their best in order to succeed, and the ability to communicate with my teammates and others in an effective and meaningful manner.
In 2018, my team came in 3rd in the state of Louisiana in the statewide tournament. This was a major achievement for me as it helped me solidify the hard work and effort I put in throughout the season. This win showed me that with determination, and focus, anything can be achieved. I am hoping for my future collegiate goals to be both academically and athletically challenging. I hope to be admitted into a program that can allow me to succeed in my future academic career as well as hopefully my future athletic career. I am a natural leader, a determined competitor and diligent player as well as a thoughtful student and I know I can be the key addition you need for your team!
