John O'Connor '19 Recruiting Profile

The game of soccer has been an important part of my life ever since I can remember; whether in my house, back yard, or anywhere else, I have had a ball at my feet trying to improve my skills.  I wrote down a list of moves that I wanted to learn when I was 8 and spent countless hours learning them, and even making up some new ones.  I have always continuously improved as a soccer player, and am looking forward to taking my game to the next level in a disciplined and competitive college environment.

I believe I have the technical skills to succeed anywhere on the field, but I prefer to play in the middle so that I can have more of an impact on the game.  In addition to my strong technical abilities, I believe intelligence, field awareness, and the ability to lead my teammates are my key strengths.

I would like to attend a college that challenges me academically and athletically and I am certain that I have what it takes to meet that challenge.
