Harmond Cohen '20 Recruiting Profile

Soccer and school are both very important to me. I’ve been told that I am talented enough to play on an academy team, but I had an amazing experience freshman year playing for my varsity high school team (the only freshman of 250 students who tried out). Playing varsity soccer alongside other academy level players at a top public high school in the country for academics and soccer is teaching me leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

My experiences have helped me become a strong student and player. I am interested in studying engineering and business at a strong academic university with an excellent soccer team. Academics are just as important to me as sports and my goal throughout high school and college is to do well in both. I like to focus not only on scoring with both feet, but also creating opportunities for goals with smart assists. I currently play right wing, and previously have moved all around the field, scoring from defense, mid, and forward. As I learn my preferences in schools, I look forward to understanding where I can best contribute to your program.

Not only do I play soccer every day, but I truly love the sport. Throughout my whole life, soccer has helped me learn hard work, effort, and dedication. Without the game, I don’t know where I would be today.
