I’ve been playing soccer since I was 4 years old following in both of my older sisters’ footsteps. Growing up I’ve always had a passion for the game and it was all I could dream about. Just like any other athlete, at some point in our careers we face adversity. For two out of the three of my middle years I didn’t make the soccer team. During my 6th grade year I didn’t make the team due to size and skill level. After my sixth grade year I worked on getting better and actually made the team 7th grade year, but unfortunately I wasn’t eligible due to my grades. During my eighth year I made it my mission to stay focused and on track all throughout the year so that I could do what I love most for my school. That same year I captained our team to the second PG County Public Schools Championship in our school’s history. What makes me a good candidate for your squad is that no matter how hard I or the team gets put down, I’ll always have fight in me to continue. I’d also like to add that I am a leader. I captained my middle school team 8th grade year and the Jv team freshman year and played varsity as well. My goal is to play college soccer at a competitive level to develop and improve as a player and teammate. What makes me different from other recruits is that I take my academics seriously just as much as I do the game we all love. Every single time I step on the field I give it my 100% and play not just for myself or the team, but to also represent the school in the right way. Most coaches tend to describe me as a leader and facilitator. Wherever I may end up playing college I plan on doing whatever it takes to do my best and contribute to the program.
