When I started playing soccer at 4 years old, I didn’t think much of it, just something to do. Little did I know I would fall in love with the sport and it would have such a crucial impact on my life. Soccer has taught me: teamwork, work ethic, responsibility, and so much more. Soccer has also given me things I never would’ve imagined. I am passionate, respectful, and a very coachable player. I was named captain of my high school team, sophomore through senior year, and have been captain of my club for 4 years now. This role has made a huge impact on my personality and who I am as a person. I am calm in stressful situations and I have gained a huge knowledge of how to deal with/motivate people who react differently in different situations. I am sure these skills will also help me in college and throughout my life.
When searching for a college, I’m looking for a program that will help advance me athletically, but also academically. I am very interested in pursuing physical therapy and sports management in the future. I have been through the physical therapy process twice for minor injuries and saw how much the therapists enjoyed their work. I am always the first player on the field to help someone up or be by my teammates' side if they get hurt. I love to help people and have been around athletes all my life, so I think either of those programs would fit me very well. I value family as my number one priority and my family has done an amazing job preparing me for the future by putting me into sports and supporting me my whole life. Every close friend, coach, and teammate are cemented in my mind as family and I never think any of them less than the other.
