I'm a 17-year-old with big dreams and a deep love for soccer. I want to share my goals and aspirations for college and explain why I'd be a great addition to your team.
Soccer has always been my escape and my way of dealing with ADHD. It's like a mental anchor for me, helping me focus and stay disciplined. But there's more to it than that. I genuinely love the sport, and I'd do anything to keep playing. It's just part of who I am.
I've had my share of struggles, though. One of the biggest challenges has been my introverted nature. I'm often quiet and introspective in team settings, though I become vocal and expressive on the field. This can make it a bit tough to break the ice and form connections. I've noticed that sometimes coaches may not take the time to get to know players like me who aren't as outgoing. But don't mistake my quietness off the field for a lack of commitment. It's just my way of focusing and getting in the zone.
Academically, I'm a serious student. My introverted nature has actually helped me develop solid study habits and time management skills. I work really hard to stay on top of my school work and have made great gains the last couple years of high school. I understand that being a student-athlete is all about balance, and I'm determined to excel both on and off the field.
Now, here's the thing that makes me a unique player. I'm taller than most of the other boys, and my footwork and ball control are top-notch. Playing on high school and travel teams with smaller players, I had to hold back at times which prevented me from playing my game. But I've work hard to continue to develop these skills, and I'm always willing to go that extra mile in training and matches because I believe in making the most of my abilities. I'm confident that my height and skillset, combined with my ability to switch from introverted to vocal on the field, can be a game-changer on your team.
Lastly, my family's background has a big impact on my goals. My father is an immigrant, and his dream has always been to see me go to college. He's worked tirelessly to provide me with opportunities, and I'm determined to make the most of them. My journey isn't just about my personal achievements; it's about fulfilling my family's dreams and sacrifices.
In summary, I may be introspective and quiet in team settings, but my passion for soccer, my determination to overcome my introverted nature, and my commitment to academics set me apart. I have a unique blend of size and skill that I'm eager to bring to your team. I'm excited about the chance to be a part of your team and take my love for the sport to the next level in a collegiate setting.
