Personal Statement
As I am entering the process of collegiate athletics, I want to go to a school that makes me happy. Although division 1 has always been my dream I want to make a decision that best suits and builds on both my academic career and soccer career. I am a good candidate for any team because I will come into the program and put my head down and get to work, I will ensure that my academics will never get in the way of me playing my sport, and most of all, I will do my best to be the best teammate possible through putting the team before myself. One trait that I possess that other candidates don't is my will to always do better and succeed. A prime example of this is my high school career so far. As a freshman at Lincoln-Sudbury, I was one of only 3 freshmen to make the varsity team over the past five years. I started the season on the bench only playing 15-20 minutes a game. However, I stayed patient and humble and by the playoffs, I was in the starting 11 every game through hard work. However, I refused to settle for my success, I wanted more. As my family researched the options, prep school opportunities opened up. Not only would this challenge me more athletically, but academically as well. I jumped at the offer and at Belmont Hill, I have done well academically while playing varsity soccer and participating in JV Tennis. I believe my high school story so far is a prime example of why I am a great candidate for any collegiate soccer program.
