Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to take as much advantage as I can of the opportunities I'll face in my college life, and to combine my 9 years of soccer experience and my academic achievements to exceed the expectations of my future college. I learned that I had to fight for my opportunities when I moved to the US from Venezuela without a proper plan because the situation in Venezuela became too dangerous, and my family and I had to get on the first plane we could find. Coming to Boston without knowing anything about the city was really hard and overwhelming, but it made me put myself out there and realized that I had to find and create new opportunities and adapt quickly to a whole new society. Within a few weeks I had a good soccer club, a good school and I was already playing soccer for my school with my new friends. I believe that that is what makes me different from the rest of the recruits, the fact that I know how to value the opportunities I'm given that I'm not satisfied until I get the most out of them. If you give me the opportunity to play for your team and go to your college I will make sure to show you why you made the right choice by choosing me, and I will prove to you that I'm worth your time and your efforts, because I've learned that every opportunity is worth fighting for.
