My passion is soccer. I started playing before the age of five and haven’t stopped. As I have gotten older it has become a way to relieve my stress. As soon as I step on the field, I can forget about everything else that is happening in my life. I put everything I have onto the field.
You won’t find a more dedicated player than me. I am on the field seven days a week, either in games, practices, or on my own. I push myself to work on my own game when I am apart from my team. When I’m not on the field I am either at the gym working with my trainer or lifting weights in my basement. I take my performance on the field seriously, so I make sure I take care of my body off the field by stretching and eating healthy. My FCUSA coach referred to me as, “The hardest working player I know.” My current coach says I lead by example and I have a positive effect on my team.
School is also very important to me and I try my hardest to maintain good grades. The feedback I get from my teachers is that I am very hard-working and also polite and respectful. I am interested in majoring in business and my goal is to eventuallyhelp run my grandfather’s business in my hometown.
What sets me apart from other athletes is my vision of the field and my ability to make passes and get my team into the offensive end. As a defensive midfielder, I am aggressive and win the ball in our half of the field and am not afraid of the physicality of the game but am always willing to play anywhere my coach asks me too. I believe these skills would benefit any school I get the opportunity to attend, both on and off the field.
